Potty Training

Does anyone know what the recommended age is to begin potty training?

I heard a little saying that probably rings true for some children and not others. "Start at two years of age and end at three years. Start at three and end at three." Basically, the earlier you start the longer the process of training and success then when waiting until the child is a little older and more prepared. However, with everything, each child is different and their preparedness for potty training should be evaluated individually.

I *think* it's around two. Some people try earlier and some try later. I also heard boys learn later than girls. I'm am going to get my 16 month old a potty soon so she can become used to it. I am not looking forward to potty training!
